Using the Rip Rod Joint Handle
Using your Rip Rod Joint Handle is effortless and intuitive, designed to provide a refined and comfortable smoking experience.- Prepare Your Joint: The Rip Rod is designed to work best with rolled joints that use 6.5mm (1/4″) diameter tips. It can also be used with cones or joints rolled without a tip, but for optimal performance, the area of the joint that contacts the Rip Rod should be 6.5mm (1/4″) in diameter or slightly larger, to ensure a secure fit.
- Insert with Care: The Rip Rod features a precision-cut 1/4” hole at the tip with a carefully crafted slot running down the center. To secure your joint, gently spread the tines apart—just enough to allow the tip of the joint to slide into place.
- Secure and Enjoy: Once inserted, release the tines to hold the joint snugly in place. The natural tension of the hardwood ensures a firm grip while allowing for easy removal when needed.
- Register Your Grip: Each Rip Rod features an engraved Rip Rod logo on the handle, providing a tactile reference point for your thumb so you can register the correct orientation in your hand. This ensures that you always hold the Rip Rod properly—keeping the “spicy side” away from your mouth.
- Pass with Ease: Whether solo or sharing, the Rip Rod provides a comfortable, balanced hold, keeping your hands clean and enhancing every session.
- Remove the Spent Joint: Once you’re finished, fully extinguish the joint before removing it. Then, simply pull the joint forward out of the Rip Rod.
- Lanyard-Ready Design: The opposite end of the Rip Rod features a hole designed for a lanyard attachment, allowing you to keep your Rip Rod easily accessible. Attach your preferred cord or strap to carry it effortlessly or keep it within reach during your session.
- Important: Avoid excessive force when spreading the tines. The hardwood is durable, but gentle handling ensures long-lasting performance and preserves the integrity of your Rip Rod.
With its simple yet sophisticated design, the Rip Rod enhances your ritual with style, comfort, and ease.
